The church has been open since it opened in 1869.
It is a Christian church but has been a Methodist one.

“I think that the church and its members and supporters will be missed by everyone.”
The Reverend said he would take a look at the future of the church, but would not be ruling it out.
“I would like to see the church continue to serve the community, and it will always have the opportunity to do that,” he said.
“But the church will be able to take on a new role and do what it does best.”
A sign outside the church reads: ‘We’ll keep going.’
