The new faith church will be an umbrella organization for the four churches that already share the same name, The New Faith Missionary Baptist Church, according to the announcement by the new leadership team.
The group of evangelical pastors and church leaders are calling themselves the New Christian Missionary Church, The Christian Missionaries Missionary Foundation, and The Christian Church Missionary Alliance, and they will be headed by Pastor John R. Miller, the former pastor of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the pastor of First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, Texas, where the Sutherland Springs church was killed last month.
Miller has a long history of speaking out against violence and bigotry.
He has been an outspoken critic of anti-LGBTQ hate groups and has argued that the Supreme Court should rule on marriage equality, which the Supreme Courts have not ruled on.
Miller also has a history of controversial statements, including calling for the execution of pedophiles, saying that the Bible commands Muslims to kill non-believers, and calling for a ban on Sharia law.
Miller is also a board member of the Family Research Council, a Christian advocacy group that has been accused of racism, homophobia and misogyny.
The New Faith Missionsary Baptist Community will have no formal membership, but it will include members from the New Church Missionaries, which began in 2000, and from the Church of Christ, which started in the 1990s.
Miller has said the churches are separate, but the missionaries and church leadership said the missionary church will retain the same official name.
“This is a historic moment for the entire church, for our faith, and for all Americans,” Miller said.
“We’re here today because we believe that it’s our time to speak out.
We’re here to show that there are other ways of making a difference and we’re going to take on the challenges in the church that we’ve never had the opportunity to speak on before.”
The four churches will be formed from a new denomination of faith based ministries called The Missionary Movement.
The Missionaries will have a leadership team comprised of members from across the denominations and faith communities that will serve as the new umbrella group, The Mission of the Missionary Ministry.
The four denominations that have already signed on include the United Church of Christians, the Episcopal Church, the United Methodist Church, and the Presbyterian Church.
The five founding congregations will be the United Way, The Salvation Army, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the World Christian Association, and others.
The faith based organizations that have signed on with the new group include the American Renewal Project, the National Association of Evangelicals, and other evangelical Christian groups.
They include the National Christian Foundation, the International Christian Association of New England, the Christian Broadcasting Network, and World Vision.
The faith based churches will include faith based institutions like churches, schools, and churches and synagogues.
The new church will also have its own board of directors, and its own financial arm, The Vision of the New Missionary Missionary Family.
That organization will have its executive director, David Pomerantz, a retired pastor who previously served as a pastor of a local church in Houston, Texas.
The Faith Hill daughter, Faith Hill, is expected to begin her career as the president of the new faith missionary family.
In the new vision, the daughter will lead the mission of the mission family and will serve in the same capacity as the founder, her mother, Faith Hill.
